2. Proxy types available at ProxyWing

ProxyWing offers a diverse proxy ecosystem designed to accommodate different use cases. Its infrastructure focuses on expanding global IP coverage, supporting geo-targeting, and providing flexible connectivity options for data collection activities.

To help you choose the right proxy for your needs, let's take a closer look at each proxy type available from ProxyWing.

2.1. Residential proxy

Residential proxies use IP addresses associated with residential networks. They are commonly chosen for tasks that require access to websites through IPs associated with consumer internet connections.

According to the provider, ProxyWing has more than 70 million Residential IPs across over 190 countries and territories.

  • Infrastructure: Residential IP network.

  • IP pool: 70M+ residential IPs.

  • Geographic coverage: More than 190 countries and territories.

  • Targeting: Country, city, and ISP targeting options, according to the product documentation.

  • Session management: Supports Sticky Sessions and Rotating Sessions.

  • Protocols: HTTP and SOCKS5.

  • Billing model: Based on data usage.

  • Traffic policy: Purchased traffic does not expire under the provider's published policy.

Residential proxies are suitable for various use cases, including public web data collection, SEO rank tracking, product price research across different markets, and checking location-specific content.

The provider currently offers two plans: Residential Standard and Premium. Session specifications and certain available options may vary between plans. The main advantage of this proxy type is its flexibility in choosing data allowances and geographic locations. However, smaller data plans may be relatively expensive. IP quality should also be tested against specific locations and target websites to determine whether the service meets your actual requirements.

2.2. Datacenter proxy

Datacenter proxies use IP addresses from data center server infrastructure. They are worth considering for tasks that require numerous connections or large volumes of data transfer.

According to the information published on its website, ProxyWing advertises unlimited traffic for its datacenter proxy plans, subject to the applicable plan conditions.

  • Infrastructure: Datacenter IPv4.

  • Geographic coverage: 21 individual countries and 4 combined regional plans.

  • Session management: Dedicated IPs with static characteristics.

  • Protocols: HTTP, SOCKS5

  • Authentication: Username/password or IP whitelisting, according to the product information.

  • Billing model: Per IP/month.

  • Traffic: Unlimited under the advertised plan conditions.

Datacenter proxies are suitable for large-scale data collection, website monitoring, SEO tools, and workflows that require stable IP addresses.

However, some websites with strict anti-bot systems may restrict IP addresses from data center ranges. Therefore, users should test access to their target websites before deploying these proxies at scale.

2.3. ISP proxy

ISP proxies combine IP addresses associated with internet service providers with server infrastructure. This proxy type is designed for tasks that require consistent IP addresses.

  • Infrastructure: ISP-associated IPv4 addresses.

  • Geographic coverage: 10 countries across 3 regions.

  • Session management: Options for maintaining stable IP addresses are available; the exact configuration should be confirmed.

  • Protocols: HTTP, SOCKS5

  • Starting price: $1.71/IP/month.

ISP proxies are suitable for tasks such as e-commerce research, ad verification, and workflows that require the same IP address to be maintained across multiple consecutive requests.

However, not all ISP proxies should be assumed to offer the same quality or compatibility. Users should verify the IP type, location, protocol, and session persistence mechanism of their chosen plan.

2.4. Mobile proxy 4G/5G

Mobile proxies route connections through mobile networks, making them suitable for tasks that require testing services or content in a mobile network environment.

  • Infrastructure: 4G/5G mobile networks.

  • IP pool: Not independently verified.

  • Geographic coverage: The available information indicates coverage in 15 countries.

  • IP rotation: Supported plans offer manual rotation, URL-based rotation, or scheduled rotation.

  • Protocols: HTTP, SOCKS5

  • Starting price: $4/day.

Mobile proxies may be suitable for mobile application testing, region-specific service checks, and workflows that require access through mobile networks.

2.5. Enterprise proxies

Enterprise proxies are designed for growing businesses with demanding requirements for resources, speed, security, and dedicated support. Expert assistance is available 24/7 through a consultation-based service.

  • Infrastructure: Dedicated infrastructure and private IP groups designed to provide greater speed, reliability, and control.

  • IP pool: 70M+ IPs.

  • Geographic coverage: 200+ countries.

  • Supported proxy types: Residential, datacenter, mobile, ISP, and private proxies.

  • Key features: Unlimited bandwidth, customizable IP rotation logic, dashboard and API access, priority support, and a provider-claimed 99.99% uptime guarantee.

Enterprise proxies are well suited to businesses that need large-scale web data collection, SEO monitoring, ad verification, application testing, and internal network security.

2.6. MTProto and web proxies

ProxyWing offers two specialized connection methods for accessing Telegram through a proxy: MTProto proxy and web proxy. These solutions are designed to simplify setup, protect data privacy, provide high speeds, and maintain stable Telegram connections.

  • Connection methods: MTProto proxy is designed specifically for Telegram and uses traffic obfuscation. Web proxy operates over HTTPS or WebSocket.

  • Supported devices and applications: MTProto supports Telegram on both mobile devices and desktop computers. Web proxy first appeared on Telegram Desktop and has gradually become available on mobile versions, depending on the app version, operating system, and mobile carrier.

  • Configuration details: MTProto uses a server address, port, and secret, while Web proxy uses a hostname and key obtained directly from the dashboard.

  • SOCKS5 proxy types available for Telegram: Datacenter, Residential, Mobile, and ISP.

  • Best use cases: Users in restricted regions, remote teams, freelancers, crypto communities, and digital nomads.

Overall, these options give users multiple ways to connect to Telegram through a proxy, though connection stability and accessibility may vary depending on the setup, device, and network conditions.

3. Key features of ProxyWing

ProxyWing offers several features for managing sessions, selecting geographic locations, and automating proxy workflows. Its main features include:

  • Rotating sessions: Allows IP addresses to change at regular intervals or as needed, making this feature suitable for data collection tasks that require multiple IPs.

  • Sticky sessions: Maintains the same IP address for a supported period, depending on the plan. This is useful for workflows that require a stable connection across multiple requests.

  • Geo-targeting: Supports country, city, and state selection on applicable plans. Mobile plans may also allow targeting by country and carrier.

  • Rest API: Enables proxy integration into custom systems and supports functions such as proxy ordering, user management, credential retrieval, location selection, and IP rotation.

  • Connection protocols: HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 are supported, with UDP traffic available via SOCKS5 on Mobile plans. Mobile proxies can also be used through a downloadable OpenVPN (.ovpn) config, which routes all device traffic through the mobile IP without per-app proxy setup.

  • Additional services: ProxyWing's ecosystem also includes WingVPN and residential Wing VPN.

These features give ProxyWing flexibility in session management, geographic targeting, and proxy integration across different workflows. However, the availability of these options does not guarantee consistent IP quality, accurate geolocation, or stable connection performance, which need to be verified through real-world testing.

4. ProxyWing pricing overview

5. Performance test

To evaluate ProxyWing's proxy quality, IPFighter conducted tests across three areas: IP scoring on IPFighter.com, connection speed measurements using Fast.com, and geolocation verification through Google Search.

5.1. Preparation

Before evaluating the proxy, we added it to our browser using the IPFighter proxy manager extension. This extension makes it easy to import, manage, and switch between multiple proxies directly within your browser, eliminating the need for manual proxy configuration.

5.2. Test results

To evaluate ProxyWing’s residential proxy performance, we tested one proxy from its residential network under real-world conditions. Here’s a closer look at the results.

proxywing review - ip check results

IP check results on the IPFighter website

The IPFighter test results for ProxyWing's residential proxy indicate moderate performance, with the tested IP address receiving an overall score of 70%. This suggests an average level of trustworthiness, with room for improvement.

The IP received different scores across platforms in the IP scoring report: 70% for TikTok, 76% for Google, 63% for Facebook, 66% for Instagram, and 64% for Amazon. These scores can serve as reference points when assessing potential compatibility with the respective platforms.

The reported location was Cochrane, Canada, matching our configured target location. More importantly, both the "Proxy" and "Hosting" detection fields were marked "No", indicating that the connection was not identified as a proxy or hosting connection by these checks. This may help the IP blend in with regular user traffic and reduce the likelihood of triggering automated anti-scraping systems, although it does not guarantee that every website will accept the connection.

proxywing review - check proxy

Check proxy on internet speed test

Moving on to connection speed, the proxy recorded a download speed of 30 Mbps and an upload speed of 120 Mbps. These are relatively strong results for a residential proxy connection and indicate good data transfer capacity.

However, the unloaded latency was 357 ms, rising to 423 ms under load. These figures are relatively high and may cause noticeable response delays when sending requests, particularly for latency-sensitive tasks.

proxywing review - check on the google

Check on the Google search bar

Finally, we verified the proxy's geographic accuracy by performing a direct search on Google. At the bottom of the search results page, Google successfully identified the IP as being in Canada, matching our target country.

When selecting a proxy, we chose Cochrane as the target city. However, Google identified the IP location as Southeast Calgary, AB. This city-level discrepancy suggests that the geolocation databases used by the provider and Google may not be fully aligned or updated consistently. The country-level result was accurate, but the difference at the city level is worth noting if precise geographic targeting is important to your workflow.

7. Alternatives

If you are looking for similar proxy providers, here are some alternatives worth considering:

  • SimplyNode: A proxy service that unlocks data access with over 8 million IPs, offering rotating and sticky options alongside city-level targeting.

  • Byteful: A provider offering static ISP, residential, and datacenter proxies built on a 100 Gbps network across more than 195 countries.

  • LightningProxies: A proxy provider offering residential, datacenter, IPv6, and ISP proxies across 195+ countries. It features a large global IP pool with fast response times, making it suitable for scraping, automation, browsing, and data collection tasks.

8. Conclusion

ProxyWing offers a diverse proxy portfolio, a non-expiring traffic policy for Residential plans, and API-based management capabilities. These features make it worth considering for users who need multiple proxy types or want to integrate proxies into automated workflows.

However, the real-world test data in this review covers only one IP address in Canada. The IP scored 70/100 and was not blacklisted in our checks, but its download speed was 30 Mbps, while latency reached 357 ms unloaded and 423 ms under load.

These results suggest that the tested connection may be suitable for certain use cases, but they are not sufficient to establish consistent IP quality or performance across the provider's entire network. We recommend testing additional IPs across different locations and target websites before committing to large-scale deployment.

Hidemyacc review 2026: Features, pricing and real fingerprint test results

Running several accounts on Facebook, Amazon, TikTok or ad platforms from one computer is easy to start and hard to keep alive. Platforms link accounts through browser fingerprints, cookies and network signals, and one linked account can drag the rest down with it. A multi-accounting browser solves this by giving every account its own isolated browser profile. Hidemyacc is one of the tools built for this job. In this review, we look at what Hidemyacc offers, what it costs, and how a fresh profile actually performs when we run it through IPFighter’s fingerprint and leak tests.  Show more
